Covid19 Safety Policy

COVID19 POLICIES FOR PLAYERS/ COACHES/ SPECTATORS

The Florida Hawks FC will implement the following policies to promote personal safety during the scheduled match during the COVID19 pandemic.

Please note that on each field, the Hawks “home side” is always on the right of the coaching box. Spectators for the Hawks shall use the left side of the sideline of the field across from the benches.

As a visitor, please kindly use the “visiting side” which is on the left of the coaching box. Spectators for the “visiting team” shall use the right sideline of the field across from the benches.

All spectators must respect these areas reserved for each participating club and only sit on their respective sideline.

GUIDANCE FOR PLAYERS

  • Must arrive at the fields with all uniform gear, and dressed prior (not at fields).
  • Should pass a health check, self-administered
  • Players are recommended to bring travel-size hand sanitizer with them for their personal use while at the facility.
  • Sharing of equipment among players is discouraged.
  • High fives, shaking hands, physical contact such as huddles, outside of play are discouraged.
  • If indoors, Players must maintain a social distance of 6ft or wear an appropriate mask

GUIDANCE FOR COACHES & TEAM OFFICIALS

  • The Home team is always on the right side of the bench area when facing the field.
  • The Visiting team is always on the right side of the bench area when facing the field.
  • Coaches, please make sure that your families sit on the same side as your bench across the field.
  • If indoors, Coaches and Team Managers must maintain a social distance of 6ft or wear an appropriate mask

GUIDANCE FOR SPECTATORS

  • ALL SPECTATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED ON THE FIELD OF PLAY
  • May only sit in designated spectator areas
  • Must practice social distancing from others (6+ feet) while at the complex.
  • Under no circumstance can a spectator/parent approach or be in the designated team area, this includes suspected Injury to players, etc. Parents/Spectators must wait until an official calls for them IF needed.
  • For their safety, are not be allowed to be seated behind either goal even in the Spectator areas.
  • If indoors, Spectators must maintain a social distance of 6ft or wear an appropriate mask
  • Anyone feeling ill, having a high temperature, or the possibility of exposure to COVID19 should refrain from being at the Club's complex.

PLAYERS/COACHES RETURNING TO PLAY

The Florida Hawks Family relies on each other to be truthful and forthcoming about any interaction(s) they may have had with other individuals that result in any of the following circumstances: 

  • Positive Test Result
    • If Player/Coach has tested positive for COVID-19 they must ISOLATE for a minimum of:
      • At least 5 days since symptoms first appeared AND
      • At least 24 hours with no fever without medication OR
      • If no symptoms, 5 days have passed since the date you had a positive test result.
  • Close Contact with Infected Person
    • If Player/Coach has been in close contact with a person who has tested positive for COVID-19 must quarantine for a minimum of 5 days symptom free from the date of initial exposure to return to play.
    • Exceptions to this rule:
      • However, anyone  who meets the following criteria does NOT need to stay home.
        • Someone who has been fully vaccinated and shows no symptoms of COVID-19
        • Has COVID-19 illness within the previous 3 months AND
          • Has recovered AND remains without COVID-19 symptoms (for example, cough, shortness of breath)
    • What counts as close contact?
      • You were within 6 feet of someone who has COVID-19 for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more within a 24-hr time frame.
      • You provided care at home to someone who is sick with COVID-19
      • You had direct physical contact with the person (hugged or kissed them)
      • You shared eating or drinking utensils
      • They sneezed, coughed, or somehow got respiratory droplets on you
  • Exposure to Infected Person, without Close Contact
    • If Player/Coach were notified that they were in the company of an individual (aka "casual contact") that tested positive for COVID-19 but not in close contact (as defined above) they will NOT be required to quarantine. However, we ask that you continue to monitor for symptoms. If present, please follow the quarantine procedures above.
    • Hillsborough County Schools will reporting BOTH close and casual contact cases to parents. Please confirm with your school contact their contact tracing procedures to accurately determine your player/child's exposure level. When in doubt, the Club will deem a School Quarantine as "close contact" and apply these guidelines to quarantine.

Spectator Zone Information

1. All other protocols will remain in place, if not specifically altered below
2. When at the Park, we will continue to ask that EVERYONE that is not vaccinated to wear an appropriate face covering when social distancing is not possible
3. Parents, Spectators, and ALL OTHER Visitors must remain in the areas designated for Spectators and may NOT enter the field of play.
* All Spectators MUST use existing sidewalks to access ALL the appropriate seating areas
* Please do NOT cut across ANY fields as you will be asked to leave.
* When seated in the Spectator areas:
* Please continue to social distance when possible
* Please be aware of the goal areas, and do not sit immediately behind a goal as it is unsafe and can lead to injury.
